Eric Johnson, PA-C

About

When he was 12, Eric Johnson moved from the cultural core of Appalachia in Southwest Virginia to Logan, Utah. He lived in Logan until he went to P.A. school at age 30. He completed his education at Utah State University and the University of Des Moines. Prior to working in family practice, Eric worked in Ogden Clinic Rheumatology with Dr. Harold Vonk for a year and a half. Arthritis is still one of his clinical interests, along with weight management and weight loss.

Eric’s current passions include spending as much time as possible in the Tetons, Uintahs, or Wind Rivers in the summer. On August 18th, 2019, he completed his 2000th mile on foot in the Wind Rivers with his two sons. In the winters of 2016 and 2019, he completed the 1000-mile Northern and Southern Routes respectively on the Iditarod Trail in less than 30 days, pulling his survival gear on a sled. Eric became the 6th person in the world with two or more such finishes. See the video below for a recap of his 2016 Iditarod on Fox News. In addition to those 2000 miles, Eric has completed 71 100-mile races on foot, beginning in 1992.
