About
Born and raised in the Ogden area, Shelby began working in her father’s medical office at age 14 and fell in love with medicine and serving patients. After working with him for 21 years, she went back to school in pursuit of her Family Practice Nurse Practitioner license. Shelby attended Weber State University where she graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Nursing. Before pursuing her Master’s degree, she volunteered at Seager Memorial Clinic, free medical clinic in downtown Ogden serving those in need of medical services and care. Shelby obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner M.S. from Weber State University in 2018.
Shelby is passionate about family medicine. She enjoys the ongoing journey she gets to have with patients—working together for holistic, healthier outcomes and lives.
Service is a big part of Shelby’s life and medical practice. She has participated in several humanitarian trips to Guatemala and Cambodia with Washington Heights Church, completing construction projects and children’s programs. She currently participates in the “Serve Ogden” service projects every other year, working to assist those in need in northern Utah.
In her free time, Shelby enjoys hiking Utah’s mountains. She and her husband love to travel, preferably to warm places.
