Hand & Upper Extremity
Injuries to the hand and upper extremities are very common throughout all age groups. The upper extremities account for everything from the shoulder to the fingertips. This includes all the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, nerves, and blood vessels. Treating these conditions may be as simple as physical therapy or may involve intricate procedures such as reconstructive surgery.
Hand conditions may be:
- Chronic, such as tendonitis and carpal tunnel
- Trauma-related, including sprains, fractures, and dislocations
- Arthritic, such as be degenerative, inflamed, or trauma-related arthritis.
